Ingredients

  • 1 lb kashkaval (or provolone, fontina, or halloumi cheese)
  • 3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cup breadcrumbs
  • flat-leaf parsley

Instructions

  • Place some oil (about two inches worth should be fine) in a pan over high heat until bubbles rise around the non-stirring end of a wooden spoon.
  • Prepare 3 small bowls each with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  • Slice the kashkaval cheese into 1/2-inch-thick pieces. Roll all sides of each slice in each bowl with flour, then dip in egg, then in breadcrumbs.
