Zucchini and String Bean
The taste is salty sour with baked cheese, and the vegetables fight sweet and juicy.

Ingredients

zucchini
(fresh, diced)

string beans
(green beans, trimmed & cut)

sour cream

egg

butter
salt
(to taste)
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Prep the Beans
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil
Add string beans and cook for
5–7 minutes
until tender
Drain and set aside.
Optional: Lightly sauté them in butter for extra flavor
Prepare the Zucchini
Dice zucchini into small cubes
In a frying pan, sauté with butter over medium heat for
5–6 minutes
until slightly golden
Make the Creamy Topping
In a bowl, prepare the topping for the fold: sour cream, egg, salt, nutmeg and pepper and mix all the ingredients well.
Add the grated cheese and mix the ingredients well again. This creates a rich, custard-like topping when baked.
Grease a baking dish and place the fried zucchini in the baking dish first and then the cooked and fried string beans.
Pour the topping evenly over the vegetables throughout the zucchini and string bean mixture.
Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at
180°C (350°F)
for 35-40 minutes to keep the top nicely baked.
Notes
Use a semi-hard cheese like Balkan kashkaval or mozzarella for that perfect golden crust.
