Ingredients

  • 4 cup water
  • 1 cup fava beans
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 onion
  • olive oil
  • capers
  • tomato sauce

Instructions

  • Over medium heat place a saucepan with the water and bring it to boiling. Add the fava beans, pepper, salt, and a pealed onion, and let it cook for 45 minutes.
  • Transfer the fava beans to a bowl in tomato sauce and add the onions, olive oil, and capers.
  • Serve with bread and red wine.
