Wine Kebab with Mashed Potatoes
This is an old Bulgarian Recipe for very tender meat cooked in wine sauce.
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 700 g pork
- 3 onions
- 5 tbsp tomatoes
- 1 cup red wine
- salt
- flour
- paprika
- black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 350 ml water
- parsley
Mashed Potatoes
- 6 potatoes
- 150 ml milk
- 3⅓ tbsp butter
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Saute the meat after cutting it into bites.
- Cut the onion into crescents, saute them about 20 min.
- Pour in the wine, spices and water.
- Boil until ready and if needed, thicken with flour.
- Boil the potatoes very well.
- Mash them, add the milk, butter, salt and black pepper.
- You can add rice too but we like it like this at my house.
