Ćevapi Recipe
Ćevapi recipe is traditional Slovenian recipe for preparing minced meat similar to kebab. It is grilled dish of minced meat found traditionally in the Balkans cuisine and served with lepinja bread, onion and ajvar. The origins in the Balkans are during the Ottoman period, and are specialty similar to the köfte kebab.

Ćevapi is a kebab which is grilled dish of minced meat found traditionally in the Balkans cuisine and served with lepinja bread, onion and ajvar.
Servings: 8
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork
- ½ lb beef (chuck)
- ½ lb lamb (shoulder)
- 5 cloves garlic
- ½ onion
- ½ bunch parsley
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in ¼ cup of water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients.
- From ground meat mixture form small kebabs about 3 to 4 inches long.
- Preheat barbecue for 5-10mins. You can also use a grill. Place the cevapi on the barbecue for 8 minutes on each side and cook.
- Arrange 5 to 8 cevapi in a plate with ajvar, lepinja, thin sliced onions, sour cream and serve.
